Born Staffordshire 1947. Moved to South Africa where I met Roz and we married, worshiped and our daughter Alexandra baptised, in a small tin-roofed Church of England church in Johannesburg.
After returning to UK moved to work in Kuwait and worshiped in one of only two Christian churches allowed.
Returned to UK 35 five years ago and found a home in Farnborough and at St Christopher's.
Over the years I have been involved with the church family, serving terms on the PCC and a term as Church Warden. Along with many others, have maintained the church buildings. I have seen many changes, but still find that our journey together a wonderful fellowship in Christ.
I am Andrew, married to Joanna. We moved to Southwood from London in 1992 and joined Southwood Church when it started up in 1993. I greatly enjoy being involved in music, preaching and service leadership as well as occasional children’s work.
After working for Tetra Pak for 30 years, I retired in January 2020 and have never been busier!
I took on the role of Operations in April and have joined the Finance Team. I have realised, in both roles, just how well God has prepared me for serving the parish and am enjoying this as much as I did my working career, or my cycling, music and DIY.
I'm Janet Whitlock and in 2009 God led me to Cove Parish where I found fellowship and friendship. I am now a member of the PCC as Area Lead for Pastoral Care having been authorised as a Pastoral Assistant to which I added courses in worship leading, occasional preaching, funeral ministry and home communion. I work mainly with our older members in ministry, pastoral care, bereavement care and at Meeting Point.
Hi, I'm Jacquie.
I am married to Terry and we have 2 adult sons, one of whom is married, and a large dog called Archie. We have lived in Farnborough for the last 34 years. I am now retired, but was previously a headteacher and then a social worker for disabled children. I have been a member of Christ Church, formerly St Christopher's , for about 25 years. I am currently a member of the PCC and am also the Parish Safeguarding Officer.
Hello my name is Sue Brown and I am the Parish’s Area Lead for Children and Youth. I am also one of three leaders who run the Sunday morning children’s worship at Christ Church.
I moved to Farnborough in 1985 just after having my daughter and started attending Christ Church almost immediately.
Initially I helped on the crèche rota but joined the Sunday school team when my daughter was old enough to attend. I am still there, so you can see I enjoy working with the children.
I have always found the parish to be a place where I have received sound and loving teaching, guidance, support and friendship for which I am grateful.
