Questions on Ephesians 4:14-32

1. The passage encourages us to grow in maturity – what are the ways than we can invest in our spiritual maturity both corporately and individually?

2. Consider in what areas of life do you need to put off the old way of living and put on the new. How can we support each other in becoming mature in Christ? How can we build each other up in this and support one other?

3. Verse 25 talks about putting of falsehood, this is not just about us not lying but also being real and vulnerable with each other. Being in a place where we can be truly ourselves and known brings healing and wholeness. How easy do you find it to be vulnerable with others and be truly ourselves?

4. Verse 29 talks about not having ‘any unwholesome talk come out of our mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs’ – this is a challenge to our culture which is built upon the media of bringing each other down. When was the last time you encouraged someone or intentionally built them up in their faith? Is there someone we can encourage this week?
