Over the last few years, the activities that we need to run to support the work of our services, mission groups and clergy has increased significantly. In addition, our administration to keep aligned with charity and financial governance, well-being of our staff and general health and safety compliance has also increased. The PCC has investigated this and concluded that we need to add more administration resource to support our small Parish Office Admin team.
Whilst we have a vision of what we need longer term, we have agreed to create a short-term project role to look at our current systems, work-flows and tools in order to identify the best way forwards.
So, we are offering a short-term project role lasting 12 weeks to design and implement new organisational and administrative processes and procedures across the parish. The main areas that we have identified are our Parish Office workflows, on-line filing system, document controls including archiving, applications for funding, and creating checklists for Occasional Services (baptisms/ weddings/ funerals). The successful candidate will be encouraged to identify these and other areas where we can improve our efficiency and to propose appropriate ways of working to deliver best-practice for our future plans.
We would like this role to start in September and run for 12 weeks based on a 16-hour working week. We can be flexible with hours but would prefer work-time to be in the mornings based on 4 days. There may be a possibility to extend this into a permanent role.How to apply for the job
