Children, Schools and Family Worker Vacancy

Description of Job
The Parish of Cove is in an exciting and pioneering phase. We are ‘one family with two homes’ where we share ministry across two church buildings and our church hall. We have recently unified two churches to launch ‘Christ Church Cove’, and together with our other home, St Johns, we are blessed with the great mission opportunity of having 7 infant/junior/primary schools in our parish and congregations with a heart to reach out to families in our community.

This is where we need your help! Are you energetic, relational, creative and a self-motivated leader?

This role is to develop a vision for how we better connect with and reach out to children, their families and our local schools. It is to both build upon current initiatives and pioneer new ministries working with those volunteers currently engaged as well as encouraging and equipping new team members. We are looking for someone who can develop and invest in our children’s leaders, equip and encourage our children’s teams and identify, develop and launch new outreach opportunities.

Are you a team player? Do you have a passion for children and schools work and an ability to relate to their families? With a vibrant Christian faith with a heart to see God’s Kingdom come, could you draw young families to meet Jesus?

The Parish of Cove is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all those who are vulnerable. We expect all of our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure (DBS) and identity check.
