St John's Open Door
St John’s Open Door is a “drop-in” for those isolated by mental health difficulties or struggling to cope with life for whatever reason. Those who support them are also welcome.
Our aims are simple: demonstrating the love of Christ through practical action – we offer a listening ear, a place to be accepted and valued, a place to make friends, signposting to other services, refreshments and a relaxing, informal atmosphere.
We welcome, value and respect people of all backgrounds and beliefs. No referral is necessary.
St John’s Open Door will provide some basic activities such as games, art & craft, music, relaxation and occasional speakers but our aim is for visitors to have the space to just “be” and not be pressurised to take part in activities if they don’t want to.
We meet on the first 3 Wednesdays of the month at 6pm.
